Oskar Espina Ruiz		2008-2009 CONCERT SEASON Espina Ruiz’s 2008-09 season engagements include recitals in Los Angeles, New York City and Lima (Peru), recitals and master-classes at thirteen US universities (literally crisscrossing the country) and chamber music concerts at the Treetops Chamber Music Society, which he directs in Stamford, Connecticut, including the world premier performance of Spinei’s trio for clarinet, soprano and piano. This season Espina Ruiz has recorded works by De Pablo for the CD of the VI. ESPINA-KURACHI DUO ON TOUR IN EUROPE OCTOBER 7-20, 2009 Clarinetist Oskar Espina Ruiz and Pianist Keiko Kurachi first joined forces as a duo in 1999, winning top prizes at the Olga Koussevitzky and Artists International competitions in New York and performing in recital at Steinway Hall and Wall Street’s Concerts-to-Go that same year. Recitals in Tokyo, Shanghai, Beijing and Spain followed with high critical acclaim, recording their first CD as a duo in 2001. Espina Ruiz is based in New York and Kurachi in Paris.
